The “latest update” on the Yalova counter-ISIS (Daesh) operation on 29 December 2025 has been clarified through official statements.
Authorities said the operation began at around 02:00 and was reported completed at 09:40. Officials stated that an armed clash erupted after shots were fired during the raid, and that five women and six children inside the residence were safely evacuated.
According to the official update, three police officers were killed. Eight police officers and one security guard were injured. Officials also reported that six suspects were found dead at the scene.
